Karin Neuburger studied Comparative Literature, Philosophy, and French at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum and at the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany and Hebrew Literature at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she received her M.A. as well as her Ph.D. She teaches German literature at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her research interests are German literature 18th -21st century; the relationship between German, Yiddish and Hebrew modern literature; poetics; the relationship between literature and politics; German-Jewish literature; theories on literatures of minorities. In her current book project she deals with poetics of "Wohnen" in contemporary German literature.
