The Leo Baeck Institute’s web-series Snapshots of German-Jewish History and Culture is a series of regular online posts which aim to give an insight into interesting items from our London institute’s collection of rare books and historical pamphlets that illustrate many facets of the history and culture of Europe’s German speaking Jewry.
Through regular online posts, this series aims to:
- Highlight unique and significant artefacts from our archives
- Provide academic commentary on these items, contextualising them within broader historical and cultural frameworks
- Offer a nuanced understanding of German-Jewish experiences and contributions
